Lichfield District Disabled Facilities Grants
Council grants of up to £30,000 for home adaptations to help disabled people live independently. Can cover wheelchair ramps, stairlifts, accessible bathrooms, and other modifications.
Apply via Staffordshire Cares (0300 111 8010, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) who do the initial assessment, then an OT will contact you if needed. Means-tested for adults (income and savings assessed), but not means-tested for children under 18. A charge stays on the property for 10 years and may need repaying if you sell. Delivered by LWM Traded Services on behalf of Lichfield DC.
